Google reviews for Lady Radiator at The Independent (the venue, not this ticket website). 4 stars and up. Google doesn’t verify every review, and it removes fake ones when it finds them.
Happy New Year 2026 and cheers to hopefully a year of more concerts and performances.
I came to see David Archuleta on his Earthly Delights tour and was so impressed by how intimate and comfortable the experience was at The Independent.
The staging area felt small but meant you could really get up close and personal with the artists. There was ample seating on the sides and on the second floor too if you'd like to avoid too much of the crowd, but can't go wrong with the space and being so close to the stage.
When it did get packed with guests coming in after the opener, I could tell the AC getting cranked up a notch to help with the sweltering gay heat exuding from all of us inside the venue.
Drinks here were served by the friendliest of bartenders with cocktails going for $14, not the worst for a concert venue. I enjoyed my Passion Fruit Rum that I got to nurse through the night.
Ticket checks were easy, bag checks were seamless, and I have to give props to the staff for making it a great experience.
The independent is an exceptional venue if you get the chance to visit. It’s a very intimate venue and the door opens right up to the front corner of the stage. Very hard to get tickets for a big name, but if you do it’s an experience to remember! It gets packed at capacity, but not to the point where it’s unmanageable and uncomfortable
The independent is a great place to watch live music. I do suggest bringing ear plugs because both bands were so loud that without protection it would have been hard to hear. Staff is very present and attentive to making sure everyone is safe. I don't drink so they did have one na beer but it would have been nice if they upgraded from Becks to something a little more flavourful.
